Police investigate case of culpable homicide after pedestrian was knocked down in Cape Town
The incident comes as the department confirmed 33 pedestrians were killed in road traffic incidents across the province over the past three weeks.

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a pedestrian was knocked down on the N2 outbound on Tuesday, before Jakes Gerwel Drive.
The incident led to a traffic backup on the highway for several hours during the morning peak.
The Western Cape Mobility Department has called on motorists to adhere to traffic laws and ensure pedestrian safety, to prevent further loss of life.
The incident comes as the department confirmed 33 pedestrians were killed in road traffic incidents across the province over the past three weeks.
