CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police are investigating the shooting incident that left two people dead and three others injured in Overcome Heights.
It’s understood that the group was shot at over the weekend, but the motive remains unclear.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said Muizenberg detectives are looking into two counts of murder and three of attempted murder.
“Police members responded to a complaint of a shooting, and upon arrival on the scene, they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies.
“The two adult males were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victims were taken to a medical facility for medical treatment.”
He added that an anti-gang unit has been deployed to bolster police presence in the area.
