JOHANNESBURG - A suspect in the Marry me informal settlement murders made his second appearance at the Pretoria magistrates' court on Monday.

The 27-year-old man is facing 13 charges linked to the brutal attack in which 6 community patrollers were killed.

He appeared in the dock this morning for a second time since last week- but today was his first appearance as a murder accused.

The man could not be filmed or named as he still needs to go through more identity parades.

“An identity parade has since taken place where he was positively identified as one of the people who were there and attacked the patrollers so that’s how he was linked hence his appearance today”, said the NPA’s Lumka Mahanjana.
He will return to court on Tuesday for this matter and for the possession of a firearm and ammunition, a charge which led to his arrest last week
He is also facing charges for being in the country illegally.
