ANC NEC commits to promptly addressing Integrity Commission recommendations

JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC)'s national executive committee (ANC) has committed to promptly addressing recommendations made by its Integrity Commission regarding party members accused of ethical misconduct.
The Integrity Commission is an internal body within the ANC responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct and overseeing the ethical behaviour of its members.

The ANC has been criticised for its delay in acting on the recommendations from the commission against those found to have brought the party into disrepute.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ANC NEC meeting, spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri said this will change.
“We are making it a standard item of the agenda of every NEC meeting to receive reports and make sure that cases that are being processed by the Integrity Commission get concluded.”
