JOHANNESBURG - Postbank has urged grant beneficiaries not to wait until the eleventh hour to attempt to switch their South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) gold cards to the Postbank black cards.
The entity on Friday announced a two-month extension for those who missed the 20 March deadline.

The mass migration follows security concerns.
About 1.3 million grant recipients are yet to make the move.
Postbank CEO Nikki Mbengashe has called on beneficiaries to take advantage of the 60-day window to avoid the disruptions and long queues experienced last week.
“Please do not wait until the last minute to go and get your card. It is quite important. Currently, we're processing over 30,000 cards a day, which means our systems are working. There are no issues with our systems.
“We are managing the queues, but of course, when people go towards the end, the queues are going to be long. So don't use the last days of May, because the probability is that everyone might wait until the last days.”
