Multi-vehicle crash along N1 north in Limpopo claims two lives

JOHANNESBURG - A multi-vehicle crash involving three vehicles on the N1 north in Makhado Municipality claimed the lives of two people on Friday morning, leaving several others injured.
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety said that the accident claimed the life of a five-year-old girl child and female driver on scene.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that reckless driving may have caused the accident.
"This tragic incident reminds us of the importance of road safety and the need for all road users to exercise caution and responsibility. The department urges all road users to prioritise their safety and that of children, especially during peak travel periods," said Limpopo transport spokesperson, Tidimalo Chuene.
