JOHANNESBURG - The lawyers of corruption accused politician, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, accused the state of giving them the "run around" over the disclosure of documents.

Mapisa-Nqakula is appearing in the Pretoria High Court on Friday where she’s facing 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering.

She is accused of soliciting and receiving R4.5 million worth of kickbacks from a defence contractor during her time as defence minister.

The matter returns to court following a three-month adjournment to allow the state to hand over documents requested by Mapisa-Nqakula's lawyers.

However, defence lawyer, Reg Willis said that the state has not fully kept up its end of the deal.

He said that the state has not disclosed Section C of the police docket which is the correspondence between the investigating officer and prosecution team.

Willis said that the state has also refused to handover the police recording of the raid at Mapisa-Nqakula’s home last year.
