CAPE TOWN - While winter is still about three months away, the South African Weather Service has revealed its forecast for the Western Cape.
It's predicted below average rainfall for the province this winter and added that temperatures would also be warmer than in previous years.
Lead scientist at the weather service, Christien Engelbrecht, said for snow lovers, the predictions were not very positive, unfortunately.
"Typically, I mean if there is below normal precipitation, it means below normal cloud cover, so then one can also induce that the geographical area covered by snow can be smaller and that the snow will occur at higher altitudes."
