DURBAN - MK Party Secretary-General Floyd Shivambu has disputed dissenting voices against him in the organisation, saying none of the complaints were formal.

This comes after some party members expressed dissatisfaction with Shivhambu, who was appointed secretary-general last year.

This also includes the resignation of Phumlani Mfeka as a member of the KZN Provincial Legislature, saying that he could not serve under Shivhambu's leadership.

Shivhambu spoke to journalists on the sidelines of the party’s national high command meeting in Durban on Wednesday.

"There are anonymous elements which we do not know. There’s never been anyone who came to a meeting of uMkhonto weSizwe to express a view about any of its leaders, not in this meeting or any provincial meeting."

When asked about the recent negative utterances about him by party MP Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, he said that the matter was being handled by the party.

"I think the issue of Ms Duduzile is being handled elsewhere as part of the disciplinary issues."
