Hundreds of SASSA beneficiaries outside the Katlehong Shopping Centre, in Ekurhuleni, stood in line hoping to beat the deadline and get their new black cards on Thursday.
But Postbank has allayed fears for beneficiaries who have not been able to make the switch that they still have time.
Some grant recipients have expressed frustration over the migration process, saying they had been standing for hours without help.
Two Postbank officials at the Katlehong Shopping Centre were seen working today to assist recipients with the move.
One beneficiary told EWN that this was the third time she had been back at this specific site. The two previous times, she had gone home without the new Postbank black card.
Beneficiaries who do not have the new black card yet can go to Postbank offices with their IDs to have access to their grant payments.
