Postbank to continue replacing SASSA gold cards after deadline
Grant recipients have just a few hours left to get their affairs in order by swapping their SASSA gold cards for new Postbank black cards.
JOHANNESBURG - Postbank will continue replacing cards at all its existing card replacement sites after Thursday's impending deadline.
Grant recipients have just a few hours left to get their affairs in order by swapping their SASSA gold cards for new Postbank black cards.
Postbank CEO Nikki Mbengashe is urging beneficiaries to continue replacing their cards after the deadline to better prepare for the coming April grant payments.
"We are pleading with all beneficiaries to please not attempt to use this card post the 20th of March to access their grant. Your account number does not change, your grant will still go into your bank account but the ability to access this bank account will cease as of the 20th of March."
Grant recipients who have not attained the new Postbank card have been given the option to receive their payments at post office branches, however, they were warned that the option will not be valid for long.
"We have worked very tirelessly to ensure that no beneficiary is left behind without access to their grant. As such, we have worked with SAPO. SAPO has over 500 branches nationally to ensure that beneficiaries can go to their nearest post office to access their grant over the counter."
