The leader of the Rivers of Living Water Church is accused of raping members of his church, staff, and an eight-year-old girl in 1980.
The support for Archbishop Stephen Zondo from his supporters seems to be dwindling, with fewer followers making their way to court.
On Wednesday, men in suits and their distinct red and white church badges stood behind him like an army as he made his way into the dock.
The matter could not proceed, as the defence wants a copy of Judge Mokhine Mosopa’s judgment in which he dismissed Zondo’s application for a discharge.
It is based on Judge Mosopa’s judgment that Zondo no longer wants him to preside over his matter.
The court heard that the judgment is ready but has several mistakes, and must be corrected before it can be made available to the parties.
Zondo’s lawyers will proceed with their application for Judge Mosopa’s recusal in April.
