SA Weather Service warns of possible veld fires in parts of WC as temperatures soar
The South African Weather Service said that temperatures are expected to reach the high 30s and lower 40s in several parts of the Western and Northern Cape over the next two days.

CAPE TOWN - The Swartland and Bergrivier local municipalities are likely to experience veld fires on Tuesday due to sweltering temperatures.
The South African Weather Service said that temperatures are expected to reach the high 30s and lower 40s in several parts of the Western and Northern Cape over the next two days.
Forecaster Joew Malebane said that the dry conditions coupled with the wind could result in runaway and fires.
She urged residents in the Cape to take extra precautions.
"So if you're travelling to Cape Town tomorrow please be weary of these temperatures. Such weather will have a significant impact on your health so it is essential to take necessary precautions to protect yourself."
