JOHANNESBURG - Disbarred advocate, Senzo Mkhize, has filed an urgent application before the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) over a directive preventing his access to court buildings.

Gauteng High Court Judge President Dunstan Mlambo last week issued an instruction that Mkhize be denied access to the buildings because he has “no legitimate business” on the premises.

Mkhize was stripped of his advocate title in 2023 following a high court order after several complaints were lodged against him for accepting money from clients for services he failed to render.

Despite this, Mlambo claims Mkhize continues gaining access to the superior court building, demanding to appear before judges while allegedly representing clients.

Ex-advocate Mkhize is applying for direct access to the Constitutional Court to interdict Mlambo from refusing his entry into court buildings.

Mkhize also wants the senior judge to be barred from continuing disseminating information on the matter.

He argues that Mlambo did not furnish him with the directive before sharing it.

In papers before the court, Mkhize submits that he applied for readmission after being struck from the roll of advocates in 2023 and has appealed the order that stripped him of the title before the apex court.

Mkhize also wants the court to order the judge president to publicly retract the directive.
