Public urged to avoid unnecessary movements as heavy rains persist in parts of KZN

Durban - KwaZulu-Natal disaster management teams are urging residents to be cautious as heavy rains persist in parts of the province.
On Friday, inclement weather conditions hit the province, resulting in an alert level 4 warning for continued disruptive rains
Since the beginning of the year, at least 22 people have died in weather-related incidents in the province.
The South African Red Cross Society’s Siyabonga Hlatshwayo said: "We are urging the public to avoid unnecessary movements, stay indoors and be safe. Report any signs of flooding to disaster management centres as they are all spread throughout all the communities to assist wherever there could be a need."
