KZN police offer reward for info related to 2024’s mass murder in Umlazi

DURBAN - Police in KwaZulu-Natal are offering a reward worth R60,000 to anyone with information that may lead to arrests in relation to last year’s mass murder in Umlazi.
In August last year, six people were shot and killed at the Tehuis hostel, while three others escaped unharmed.
The group was sitting and smoking outside when unknown gunmen opened fire and fled the scene on foot.
Police spokesperson Ntathu Ndlovu said: "The suspects in this matter are unknown and there is no clear description since the incident occurred at night. Police followed numerous leads which proved futile. Detectives are now offering a reward of up to R60,000 for any information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators."
Whistleblowers are urged to call the investigation officer on the matter.
