Woodstock residents outraged after woman shot and killed

CAPE TOWN - Residents of Woodstock are still reeling after a woman was shot and killed in the area on Monday evening.
Police said the 30-year-old woman was shot multiple times.
Police said members of the Woodstock police station responded to a complaint of a shooting in Sussex Street on Monday night.
It’s alleged the deceased was approached by an unknown suspect who shot her, before fleeing the scene.
Police said the woman had multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene.
Woodstock Community Policing Forum member Nizaam Dalwai said crime is a big problem in the area, and residents are tired of the ongoing violence.
“Obviously the community is outraged, the woman that was shot was pregnant as well, so as I say, we don’t know the details, just another shooting that’s unacceptable, although one thing I can say is the community of both Salt River and Woodstock, they are really fed up.”
Police said the motive for the murder is yet to be determined.
