JOHANNESBURG - The family of one of the four children who died in the car crash on Monday say they are unable to cope with the loss.

The seven-year-old boy, who attended at Rynfield Primary School, was a Grade 1 pupil.

The crash that claimed his life occurred at the N12 near the Putfontein off-ramp in Daveyton.

Itumeleng Mohlala said they were called to the scene before the bodies of the deceased were removed.

He said that seeing the bodies of the children left him traumatised.

Mohlala admitted he was struggling to come to terms with the death of his family member.

"It’s just traumatic, going there to the scene, I just went blank to a point where having to lose a son and all of that, I can’t focus."

He said he would be seeking psychological support.
