JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal Transport and Human Settlements Department MEC Siboniso Duma said that there would be engagements with all interfaith groups that celebrate Passover as part of its road safety campaign.
Duma launched the campaign for the Easter Weekend on Monday during his visit to a bus crash scene on the N2 between Mandeni and Stanger.
On Sunday, nine members of the Twelve Apostles Church in Trinity's lives were claimed, with at least 80 people transported to various hospitals across the north coast of KZN.
Duma noted that they would also be inspecting taxis and buses that will be used to travel during the Easter Weekend.
"As part of our drills, we are going to engage with almost all different interfaith groupings that celebrate the Passover. So we'll take some of the strategic pastors and do the viewing of those taxis and the buses that are going to be utilised. And our team will be on the ground, visible. And we still declare what's been done. There's no tolerance. And those will be going out of the province."
