JOHANNESBURG - Power utility Eskom has announced it will be implementing stage 3 load shedding from 2pm on Friday.
The utility said that the return of the outages was due to a shortage of supply and efforts to replenish capacity.
According to Eskom, two units have gone down at its Kusile power station and two more at Koeberg.
Eskom spokesperson, Daphne Mokoena, said that stage 3 load shedding would remain in place until Monday.
"Eskom appeals to the public to avoid illegal connections, buy electricity only from Eskom-accredited vendors, and help protect the power network by reporting any illegal activities to the Eskom crime line."
