SA Weather Service forecasts wet weather for Gauteng, Free State, Northern Cape
Provinces including Gauteng, the Free State, and parts of the Northern Cape have been warned to be on high alert with scattered showers expected to continue well into Thursday.

JOHANNESBURG - The Tshwane emergency services is urging residents to be cautious on Wednesday as harsh weather conditions are expected.
On Tuesday, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a Level 2 warning for severe thundershowers that could lead to flooding in the area.
Provinces including Gauteng, the Free State, and parts of the Northern Cape have been warned to be on high alert with scattered showers expected to continue well into Thursday.
“Now for tomorrow [Thursday], Gauteng province is within scattered showers and thundershowers as well as the southwestern parts of Mpumalanga. Otherwise, isolated showers and thundershowers are expected, especially for the central and eastern parts into most parts of the Northern Cape,” said SAWS forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela.
