JOHANNESBURG - Police have located another person allegedly tortured by bouncers at Zanzou nightclub, bringing the total number of victims to seven.

Prosecutors probing the case confirmed on Monday that another victim came forward over the weekend.

This was revealed during the appearance of a 41-year-old Congolese national, who appeared for allegedly being involved in the torture of patrons at the Pretoria nightclub.

The man, who has been behind bars for nearly two weeks, is facing charges of assault and compelled sexual assault.

Just a few hours after several videos went viral showing patrons being assaulted by bouncers at Zanzou, six men opened cases of assault and compelled sexual assault at the Brooklyn police station.

The State in the case against the man arrested for his alleged involvement in the incident, said that a seventh victim submitted an affidavit on Sunday.

The seventh victim will now have to undergo an identity parade, which is the process of identifying the suspect from a lineup of people.

MK Party spokesperson in Gauteng, Bafana Mahlabe, said he was glad that more victims were coming forward.

"It's sad that our kids, in their land, can be treated in the manner that they were treated, which is a very barbaric act that happened to them. As the MKP, we are saying that the law must take its course."

Although a manhunt has been launched for eight people believed to be involved in the assault of patrons at Zanzou, only one of them has been nabbed.
