Limpopo police expected to unpack province's crime statistics

JOHANNESBURG - The Limpopo police are expected to unpack the province's crime statistics for the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the 2024/2025 financial year.
Police Minister Senzo Mchunu recently released the national crime statistics which showed a decrease in serious crimes across all provinces.
He noted that murder had dropped by 9.8%, rape by 3.3% and attempted sexual offences dropped by 3,2%.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Thembi Hadebe will give insights into complex cases that the police managed to solve in the period.
Limpopo police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said, "The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Services in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadadebe together with the MEC for transport and community safety, Violet Mathye, and relevant stakeholders will on Monday 3rd March 2025 hold a media briefing.”
