JOHANNESBURG - A former Namibian minister believes the country, in its current state, does not reflect what former president Sam Nujoma fought for.
Bishop Kameeta Zephania, the former minister of poverty eradication and social welfare, made this statement during Nujoma’s funeral in Windhoek on Saturday.

Several African heads of state and delegates were also in attendance to pay their final respects to the man known as Namibia’s founding father.
Thousands of Namibians gathered at Heroes’ Acre on the outskirts of the capital to pay their respects to revolutionary activist and former president.
Nujoma passed away in February at the age of 95 after reportedly suffering from an illness.
Various speakers, including Namibian president Nangolo Mbumba, addressed the mourners, celebrating the life of the national hero.
Zephania reminded Namibians to unite and combat what he called the "dark residual of apartheid" in the country.
He emphasised that with unity, Namibians can keep Sam Nujoma’s legacy alive.
