CT Pride’s Mardi Gras parade in full swing
The celebration marks the final event in a month-long series honouring diversity and inclusion.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town Pride's Mardi Gras parade was in full swing by lunchtime on Saturday, featuring bands and decorated cars parading for event goers.
The celebration marks the final event in a month-long series honouring diversity and inclusion.

The occasion will showcase entertainers such as Jimmy Nevis, Jarrad Ricketts, 3 Tons of Fun, and Craig Lucas.
Urban mobility MMC Rob Quintas expressed his enthusiasm for the variety of events taking place in and around the city.
“Cape Town is called the pink capital of Africa and continues to be a welcoming space for queer visitors. Pride takes place over the preceding month and is more than just a culminating march and Mardi Gras, and it's always encouraging to see and hear of the range of diverse events and activities taking place across the city and in different communities.”
