CT Pride Parade and Mardi Gras set to take place in Green Point

CAPE TOWN - The Pride Parade and Mardi Gras takes place in Green Point, Cape Town, on Saturday.

Event goers are encouraged to make sure to bring along their dancing shoes, as festivities will include performances from Jimmy Nervis, Cee Vee and Craig Lucas.

There will also be a lot of food and drinks on sale, as well as plenty of space for the kids.  

MMC for Safety and security JP Smith said everyone is welcome to event.  

“We're looking forward to welcoming the thousands who will take part in the parade this coming weekend and show support to an important cause.” 

The parade will kick-off at De Waterkant’s Alfred Street at 11:00 and will make its way to the Green Point underpass via Somerset Road.
