DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli is set to deliver his State of the Province Address (SOPA) on Friday at the provincial legislature in Pietermaritzburg.
This is the second address of the seventh administration under the KwaZulu-Natal Government of Provincial Unity.
The address also comes at a time when KwaZulu-Natal faces weather-related disasters and rampant crime, among other issues.
With less than a year in office, Ntuli is expected to reflect on the seventh administration’s highlights and challenges.
When he took over office in 2024, Ntuli promised to tackle socio-economic issues, including poverty, unemployment, and the rising cost of living.
He is expected to give feedback on what has been done since and what residents must expect from the provincial government in the near future.
With the province facing increasing weather disasters that have claimed lives, Ntuli is set to also outline to residents how this will be managed.
