South Africa has been the subject of misinformed fuelled attacks from US President Donald Trump and some in his executive.
Two of his members of cabinet pulled out two G20 meetings – with the Secretary of State Marco Rubio rejecting the country’s overarching G20 theme of solidarity, equality and sustainability.
"The US is a big part of the partners that put together the plan, a pocket of about 2.9 billion us dollars, so we suspect that might be at risk, at least the us share of the 2.9 billion us dollars, I can't say that thing in absolute terms until we get confirmation but President Trump has made it quite clear in terms of what their priorities are," said Ramokgopa.
