A fire which started in the Newlands area of Cape Town on Sunday (23 February) morning flared up again late Tuesday (25 February) afternoon.
Winds caused the fire to spread over the top of the 'saddle' between Devil's Peak and Newlands.
At midnight on Tuesday it had reached Tafelberg Road in the City Bowl.
The Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) is urging the public to stay away to allow firefighters to work without obstruction as they tackle the blazes.
