Bodies of 5 people swept away in floods recovered - KZN COGTA
The two men and three children were reported missing in Lamontville overnight. The department’s Senzelwe Mzila said that the victims were swept away in a canal.

JOHANNESBURG - The KwaZulu-Natal cooperative governance department said that five bodies have been found after being swept away by floods.

The department’s Senzelwe Mzila said that the victims were swept away in a canal.
Meanwhile, ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, said that they found the body of a child and that of two women in separate locations on Wednesday morning.
"ALS Paramedics currently on the scene at two different locations in the south of Durban, one being near Ansteys Beach and one being near Brighton Beach, where two females have washed onto the shore. Both have been declared deceased."
