Critically injured SANDF soldiers successfully repatriated from DRC
The South African National Defence Force's Siphiwe Dlamini said that the wounded soldiers would now receive high-level medical care.

CAPE TOWN - A group of critically injured soldiers in need of urgent medical attention has been successfully repatriated from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Fourteen South African soldiers died after being caught in the crossfire during conflict between DRC army forces and M23 rebels in January.

Their remains were handed over to their families earlier in February.
The South African National Defence Force's Siphiwe Dlamini said that the wounded soldiers would now receive high-level medical care.
"The remainder who are not so critical are scheduled to arrive in South Africa during the course of the week. The South African National Defence Force, in coordination with other roleplayers, has worked tirelessly to ensure the safe return of our wounded members."
