CAPE TOWN - High court judge Robert Henney slammed alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack's attorney on Monday for wasting the court's time with inadmissible evidence.
Modack and 14 co-accused are on trial for 122 charges related to allegedly operating a criminal enterprise.
Modack is in the dock for a second week to answer for the charges he faces.
His lawyer, advocate Bashier Sibda tried to present the court with evidence on behalf of his client.

State prosecutor Greg Wolmarans told the court Sibda handed them voice recordings and various documents related to some of the charges Modack faces.
Wolmarans said the evidence was not only irrelevant but also filled with hearsay.
Judge Henney told Sibda the only way for him to present the evidence would be to call the witnesses related to the voice recordings and documents to court.
The judge has given advocate Sibda one day to consult with his client.
"You caused your own problems Mr Sibda. You're a lawyer. You understand what evidence means. You understand when to present it. I cannot keep sacrificing the court's time all the time for you to do this. Is there anything else?"
Sibda requested more time to track down two witnesses related to the evidence.
Henney denied the request, instead granting Sibda time to consult with Modack to continue with his evidence-in-chief on Tuesday.
