Mpumalanga police ask KZN residents to help locate suspect linked to murder of senior cop

DURBAN - Mpumalanga police are appealing to residents in KwaZulu-Natal to help locate a suspect linked to the murder of a senior police officer.
Prince Gift Mdluli is wanted in connection with the murder of Lieutenant-Colonel Piet Pretorius.
Pretorius was shot and killed in Ermelo, in the Mpumalanga province in January last year.
At the time of his murder, Pretorius was the commander of the vehicle crime investigation unit.
Police said Prince Gift Mdluli was a person of interest in this murder case, and they wanted to track him down as part of their investigation.
It's believed he was last seen in Berville, Howick and uMzimkhulu in KwaZulu-Natal.
Police are appealing to anyone who spots him to report.
Head of the DPCI in Mpumalanga, Major-General Nico Gerber said: "I heartily appeal to all residents to assist the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) in location a wanted fugitive in the murder of Lt-Colonel Pretorius. Four of the five suspects have been arrested and have appeared in court in Ermelo."
Three of the suspects have also ditched their bail application while their co-accused continues with hers.
