DURBAN - African National Congress (ANC) regions across KwaZulu-Natal will on Saturday reconvene regional general councils following the reconfiguration of the provincial leadership structure.
Last Sunday, the ANC reconfigured the KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng provinces following their poor performances in the 2024 general polls.
Both provinces now have reinforcement of party elders to assist with the business of the organisation.
In KZN, the party has deployed former KZN ANC chairperson, Mike Mabuyakhulu, and NEC member, Jeff Hadebe.
The ANC's biggest region, eThekwini, said it was yet to hear what the NWC decides on the region.
Regional secretary Musa Nciki said: "That will become the part and terms of reference of the reconfigured structures because I think part of their mandate as well will be to do the assessments on regions and drill down on the issues and the challenges."
Nciki added they would accept whatever outcomes Saturday's meeting will yield.
