38 homes destroyed following heavy rain in KZN

DURBAN - The eThekwini Metro Municipality said that this week’s heavy rains had destroyed a total of 38 homes.
Most of the houses were in the south of Durban and had been completely destroyed, leaving many homeless.
The human settlements department in the province, alongside municipal officials, conducted oversight visits in affected areas on Friday.

The mayor of eThekwini, Cyril Xaba: "The dwellings affected and destroyed are 38. Our teams are on the ground to assist people to go back to their normal lives."
