Earlier this month two of the company's bus drivers were murdered which caused the bus service to shut down 58 of its stations leaving thousands of commuters stranded.
In recent years the bus rapid transit system has seen its fair share of troubles including, wage-related strike action, financial challenges and service interruptions.
Following the shooting incidents this month, metro police have been providing escort services from the stations to the bus's final destination points
Police are still investigating both matters.
