JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s government says all G20 members will be represented on Thursday as it kicks off its first foreign ministers' meeting at Nasrec.
At least 15 of them, four deputies and the United States' acting ambassador are expected to participate in the two-day event.
On Wednesday, the country’s sous sherpas, Ambassador Xolisa Mabhongo and Advocate Nokukhanya Jele expressed confidence ahead of the meeting, saying pressing geopolitical issues would form a key part of deliberations.
The pair also said it doesn't expect South Africa's issues with the United States to be a challenge.

The country has set aside several key priorities, some of which speak to disaster resilience, debt sustainability for low-income countries, mobilising finance for the just energy transition and harnessing critical minerals for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will officially open the first foreign ministers' meeting on Thursday afternoon.
