JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to meet with his Cabinet ahead of Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana tabling his Budget Speech on Wednesday afternoon.
Insiders have told EWN this is to appraise the Government of National Unity (GNU) on what's contained in the budget.
A similar meeting was held before the president delivered his State of the Nation Address two weeks ago.

There have been concerns over an expected increase in VAT, with some claiming Godongwana has received the green light from his political party to hike taxes.
Minister Godongwana's much anticipated Budget Speech is likely to be his most complicated one yet.
This with the recent social relief of distress grant judgement and the need to juggle different perspectives from members of the GNU.
Some members of Cabinet have told EWN it will be down to the wire and that this budget could still have its items tweaked through parliamentary processes.
The ANC's alliance partners have outright rejected the idea of a VAT increase.
GNU partner, the Democratic Alliance (DA), shares those sentiments, arguing that a tax hike will squeeze the country’s households.
Godongwana will deliver his Budget Speech at 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.
