SA Weather Service upgrades Gauteng warning to ORANGE LEVEL 5
The disruptive rain is expected to last until Thursday.

The SA Weather Service has upgraded Gauteng’s weather warning to ORANGE LEVEL FIVE.
Disruptive rain continues to pummel the province and parts of North West this week.
The cooler, wet weather will continue until Thursday (20 February).

- Tuesday: 16°C / 20°C, cloudy with rain throughout
- Wednesday: 15°C / 20°C, cloudy with rain throughout
- Thursday: 15°C / 22°C, cloudy with afternoon thunderstorms
- Friday: 15°C / 25°C, mainly clear with morning showers
Emergency services on high alert
Joburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi has encouraged motorists to exercise caution on the roads.
“…extend a safe following distance and avoid crossing flooded roads and low-lying bridges,” he warns.
