Families of Lusikisiki massacre victims hoping for justice to prevail

LUSIKISIKI - The families of the Lusikisiki massacre victims in the Eastern Cape are hopeful that justice will prevail as they continue to seek answers for their loved one’s brutal deaths.
Almost five months ago, 18 relatives were gunned down in Ngobozana village.
Eight men believed to be behind the mass murder appeared in the Lusikisiki Regional Court on Monday and will return in March as final investigations continue.
David King, who speaks on behalf of the families, said their hope was that the upcoming trial on the matter would give them closure.
"Our expectation is that we would at least have an idea who shot who as the case unfolds, and at the end of the day, we would like justice to be served for our loved ones."
