JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Gwede Mantashe has urged the youth league to emulate former party president John Langalibalele Dube.
Mantashe described Dube as a humble and selfless leader who was always accessible to the people he served.
He made these remarks at Dube's 79th commemoration in Inanda, Durban, on Saturday.
The ANC SG further emphasised that the youth should strive to match the qualities that Dube exemplified throughout his life.
"He was described in many ways, some say he was a pioneer, some say he was an educator, others say he was an advocate of African rights you can give him all the descriptions but there was one important thing about him is that indigenous leadership wisdom is captured by him."
