JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in KwaZulu-Natal said it lost its majority in the province, as the league did not have a functional provincial structure.

Ngcobo said they will work to strengthen their political presence in order to regain leadership in the province.
He made the remarks at the 79th commemoration of the life of former ANC president Dr John Langalibalele Dube in Inanda, Durban, on Saturday.
The ANCYL leader also expressed dissatisfaction with the current premierThami Ntuli, a member of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP).
“This exercise that we will be conducting from now on will be focused on growing the branches and will contribute come next elections on getting us better results as ANC in KZN. We cannot deny that the future of the youth and the country depends on us as young people.”
