JOHANNESBURG - Member of Parliament for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, has issued yet another apology for her social media onslaught against its secretary-general, Floyd Shivambu.

Zuma-Sambudla, who is the daughter of former SA president and leader of the MK Party, Jacob Zuma, was ordered to apologise to Shivambu by her father.

This followed several profane-laden posts on X labelling Shivambu the worst thing to have happened to their political party.

She accused the former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) deputy president of trying to bring members of the red berets into their party.

On Tuesday, she issued an apology that failed to directly address Shivambu.

Zuma-Sambudla’s first attempt to apologise was widely rejected, in part due to her failure to even mention Shivambu.

While insiders claimed she had refused to issue a second apology after her father reportedly told her to do so, she has this time around, addressing Shivambu, Zuma, the party and people of South Africa.

Zuma-Sambudla said it was never her intention to undermine the principles of unity, respect, and discipline associated with their movement.

She also acknowledged that her words violated the MK Party’s code of conduct.

This as she takes accountability for her actions and asks for understanding and forgiveness while committing to reflect further on her actions.
