CAPE TOWN - A 27-year-old woman linked to an illegal steroid manufacturing company is expected to appear in court soon.
She was nabbed during a raid by the Hawks at a building in Paarl on Wednesday.
Investigators from the Hawks, acting on a tip-off, pounced on the premises, situated at Zanwyk Industrial Park on Old Paarl Road.
It's understood that the business is licenced to buy and resell protein supplements and is not permitted to manufacture steroids.
Hawks spokesperson Siyabulela Vukubi said that more arrests were expected.
"A search and seizure operation was authorised and conducted. During the search, pressing, sorting, and labelling machines, scales and ovens were discovered. Moreover, powder and suspected Schedule 4 medicines were also discovered. The value of the steroids is yet to be determined."
