"They are treating us like animals" - SASSA recipients face long queues to meet grant deadline

Hundreds of SASSA recipients gathered outside the Alberton shopping centre, waiting long hours to switch cards to Postbank. The deadline to complete the mandatory card swap is 28 February 2025 - failure to do so will result in recipients not getting their grants.
