JOHANNESBURG - UMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party member of Parliament, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, stated that it was never her intention to tarnish her party's reputation when she expressed her frustrations with the party's secretary-general, Floyd Shivambu.

On Monday, Zuma-Sambudla shared a series of posts on X, referring to Shivambu as the worst thing to ever happen to the MK Party.

Although she has since apologised for using profanity in her tweets, she has not yet issued an apology to Shivambu for her comments directed at him.

Section 3 of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party prohibits members from using insulting language towards fellow members, political opponents, or the public.

However, despite this provision in the party's code of conduct, Zuma-Sambudla used explicit language to express her discontent with Shivambu.

Although she has since apologised to the party and its structures for her comments, she maintains that she holds strong personal views on Shivambu.

She emphasised that her intention was never to harm the party's integrity or undermine its values of discipline and respect.
