Wanted suspect killed in shootout with Limpopo police

JOHANNESBURG - A Limpopo man with a history of violent crimes has been killed in a shootout with police.
The suspect was wanted in connection with 17 cases, including murder, carjacking, business robbery and malicious damage to property.
Police spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba, said after three years of searching for him, officers finally found the man in a hideout outside Seshego.
"During the operation, on arrival of the team at the identified address, members acted swiftly and the suspect came out from one of the rooms firing gunshots towards the police. They, in turn, retaliated and the suspect, aged 36, was fatally shot."
