Power outage in Mamelodi on Tuesday due to vandalism
City of Tshwane said the outage would commence at 10:00am and power should be restored by 14:00.
JOHANNESBURG - Residents in Mamelodi in Tshwane will not have any power for at least four hours on Tuesday, due to vandalism.
The city warned the community that there would be no power supply while technicians completed repairs to damaged electrical infrastructure.
City of Tshwane’s spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the damage must be prioritised to avoid a prolonged power outage.
He said the outage would commence at 10 am and power should be restored by 2 pm.
"The following areas will be affected: Mamelodi B1-B2, D1-D6 and C1-C5 Naledi Tsakane, Sun Valley, White City, Khalambazo, Khutsong, SNS, Moretele View, Vista View Extension 4 - 6, Section 14 -18, Ikageng, Nelmapius Extension 21 and 24, Buffer Zone and Mamelodi Phase 1."
