JOHANNESBURG - Earlier in February, the Liberty Promenade shopping centre successfully delivered stationery packs to 80 Grade 3 students at Mitchells Plain Primary School, demonstrating how the spirit of giving has transformed Christmas joy into real help for Cape pupils.

The community responded overwhelmingly to the Festive Gingerbread Workshop at the Liberty Promenade mall, which took place from December 13 to December 24. Participation increased by 73% over the previous year.

Liberty Promenade was able to more than double the number of pupils supported this year thanks to this outstanding growth.

Essential school materials were provided with every rand donated, guaranteeing that pupils from low-income families have the resources they require for the upcoming academic year.

The packs included pencils, erasers, rulers, and glue sticks, preparing young students for their academic path.

Liberty Promenade asked its customers to suggest a school where students may genuinely benefit in order to guarantee the biggest impact.

Brenda Bibby, the general manager of the Liberty Promenade shopping centre, expressed her gratitude to all of the shoppers who took part in the Festive Gingerbread Workshop initiative.

"Because of their kindness, we have been able to significantly impact these young students' lives by providing them with the tools they require to succeed in the classroom," Bibby said.
