CAPE TOWN - Minibus taxis are operating normally in Nyanga on Tuesday morning following an arson attack at the taxi rank.
Sixteen minibus taxis were torched on Sunday night.
Additional SAPS resources have been deployed to the area, while the City of Cape Town has also bolstered its enforcement presence there.

SANTACO Western Cape chairperson, Mandla Hermanus, said it was clear that Sunday's incident was intentional.
"What is very clear, this is not an incident where maybe there is an electrical failure in a taxi that then spreads. This was an intentional burning of these vehicles because the taxis were not very close to each other."
Chaos erupted at the same taxi rank in January when one person was killed and several others were wounded in a shooting and Hermanus believes the incidents could be linked.
"We suspect that this might be linked to an ongoing dispute in that particular association because all these taxis belong to one particular association that operate the route between Nyanga, Cape Town and Sea Point."
The taxi council said it planned to meet with the executive of the Cape Amalgamated Taxi Association (CATA).
